Experience
As an Elementary Education Major, I have 4 years of experience in student teaching and tutoring. I have student taught children from ages 4 and up and have been tutoring English and Math at a tutoring center for two years. Tutoring has allowed me to differentiate instruction and increase my capability to teach various methods to reach all types of learners. Since I also have a double major in Art, I also incorporate many visuals to help students grasp the concepts that they are learning. I have also been a volunteer at a Hindu Family Camp for 4 years, teaching students arts and crafts, have taught young girls Indian Classical Dance for 5 years, and have volunteered in the Hindu Youth Group as a Junior Volunteer. These experiences has helped me to improve and enhance my teaching skills.
