I graduated in the top 5% of my high school class at Cinnaminson High School. I majored in math and physics at Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA and received a B.S. degree. I was awarded an assistantship at The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA and received a Masters degree, majoring in computer science.
Experience
I am semi-retired and would like to share my experiences and acquired skills with those who might benefit from them. I have over 25 years of experience as a business owner. During my years in business I used computers extensively so I have much experience with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel as well as general computer knowledge and experience. Prior to my time in business I was a professional computer programmer for about 6 years and I have a Masters degree in computer science. I have much experience as a public speaker. The following describes my public speaking experience: For 10 years (2003 - 2013) I was a member of a local Toastmasters club. Toastmasters is an international organization dedicated to the development of leadership, public speaking and general communication skills of its members. Much information about this organization can be found by searching the internet. During the course of my membership with Toastmasters I have gained a lot of experience and skill as a public speaker. I have given numerous presentations at Toastmasters meetings including more than 30 speech contest presentations. I have won many local Toastmasters speech contests and placed third in a Toastmasters humorous speech contest which had competitors from South Jersey, Central Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania. I had an article published in Toastmasters Magazine which is distributed internationally to more than 200,000 members. I have taught public speaking classes for Toastmasters members and I have taught public speaking in the Mount Laurel community education program. I also taught a public speaking course to employees of the Burlington County Library System. I have much writing experience. I did quite a lot of writing for business and also did a lot of creative writing for humorous presentations. I worked for approximately 6 years for Burroughs Corporation (now Unisys) as a computer programmer. For more than 25 years I have worked as President and owner of a small company, and I am still active as President and owner.
